译文

And, filled with rage, he seized Indra and cast him into his mouth. And when Indra had been swallowed by Vritra, the alarmed elder gods, possessed of great power, created Jrimbhika to destroy Vritra. And when Vritra yawned and the mouth of the slayer of the Asura opened, Vala drew together the parts of his body and came forth from Vritra's mouth. And from that moment the yawn has been joined to the living breath of animate beings in the three worlds. And the gods rejoiced at Indra's emergence. And again a terrible battle began between Vritra and Indra, both full of fury. And this continued for a long time, O best of the race of Bharata. And when Vritra, inspired by the mighty spirit of Tvashtri and himself endowed with strength, gained the upper hand in the fight, Indra turned back. And when he retreated, the gods were exceedingly distressed. And all of them, together with Indra, were overpowered by the might of Tvashtri.
