译文

If peace is not made, then through your fault Arjuna will consume the Kurus like a blazing fire devouring a heap of dry grass. O ruler of men, you alone in the whole world, yielding to your son, whom no restraint could dissuade, considered yourself crowned with success and refrained from avoiding the dispute at the time of the game of dice. Behold now the fruit of that [weakness of yours]! O king, rejecting faithful counselors and accepting those who do not deserve trust, you, O son of Kuru, cannot hold this vast and prosperous empire because of your weakness. Wearied by my swift journey and greatly exhausted, I ask your leave to lie down to sleep at once, O lion among men, for tomorrow morning the Kurus, gathered in the council hall, will hear the words of Ajatashatru.'
