मोचयेयं मृत्युपाशात् संरब्धान् कुरुसृञ्जयान् ॥
पाण्डवान् धार्तराष्ट्रांश् च सर्वां च पृथिवीम् इमाम् ॥
युधिष्ठिर उवाच
न ममैतन् मतं कृष्ण यत् त्वं यायाः कुरून् प्रति ॥
सुयोधनः सूक्तम् अपि न करिष्यति ते वचः ॥
समेतं पार्थिवं क्षत्रं सुयोधनवशानुगम् ॥
तेषां मध्यावतरणं तव कृष्ण न रोचये ॥
न हि नः प्रीणयेद् द्रव्यं न देवत्वं कुतः सुखम् ॥
न च सर्वामरैश्वर्यं तव रोधेन माधव ॥
भगवान् उवाच
जानाम्य् एतां महाराज धार्तराष्ट्रस्य पापताम् ॥
अवाच्यास् तु भविष्यामः सर्वलोके महीक्षिताम् ॥

suyodhanaḥ sūktam api na kariṣyati te vacaḥ ||
sametaṃ pārthivaṃ kṣatraṃ suyodhanavaśānugam ||
teṣāṃ madhyāvataraṇaṃ tava kṛṣṇa na rocaye ||
na hi naḥ prīṇayed dravyaṃ na devatvaṃ kutaḥ sukham ||
na ca sarvāmaraiśvaryaṃ tava rodhena mādhava ||
bhagavān uvāca
jānāmy etāṃ mahārāja dhārtarāṣṭrasya pāpatām ||
avācyās tu bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarvaloke mahīkṣitām ||
He makes the unreal seem real and thereby deludes all beings. Possessed of such qualities, ever devoted to righteousness and endowed with divinity, the slayer of Madhu, this mighty-armed one, incapable of decay, will come here to prevent the slaughter of the Kurus.
