译文

And thousands of citizens, O king, on various chariots, and many on foot, likewise came out, longing to see Hrishikesha. And having met on the way Bhishma of flawless deeds, Drona, and the sons of Dhritarashtra, he entered the city surrounded by them all. And in honor of Krishna the city was beautifully adorned, and its main streets decked with various jewels and gems. And, O king, O bull among the Bharatas, on that occasion no one — neither man, woman, nor child — remained indoors, so eager were the citizens to behold Vasudeva.
