译文

Vaishampayana said: 'Having heard Krishna's word, Dhritarashtra, lord of the people, hastened to address Vidura, the knower of all dharma: "Go, my child, bring here the greatly wise, far-sighted Gandhari. Together with her I will implore the evil-minded one. Perhaps she too will pacify the wicked-souled, corrupted-minded one; perhaps for Krishna's sake we, his friends, will stand firm in our word. Perhaps, speaking an effective word, she will show the path to this one overcome by greed, evil-minded, and having wicked helpers. Perhaps she will pacify for a long time our terrible, great misfortune caused by Duryodhana, and grant the imperishable blessing of preservation and safety."'
