译文

Vaishampayana said: At this very time there came Rukmi, son of the great-souled King Bhishmaka — golden-haired, a very friend of Indra, lord of the Ahritas, the renowned Bhoja, ruler of the southern land — known in every direction as Rukmi. He had been a disciple of the lion among the Kimpurushas who dwells on Gandhamadana, and had mastered the entire fourfold Dhanurveda. The mighty-armed Rukmi obtained the divine, inexhaustible bow of Mahendra, equal in splendor to Gandiva and matching Sharnga. These three divine bows belong to the celestial beings: Varuna's Gandiva, Mahendra's bow Vijaya, and Sharnga.
