तं तथा कृपयाविष्टम् अश्रुपूर्णाकुलेक्षणम् ॥
विषीदन्तम् इदं वाक्यम् उवाच मधुसूदनः ॥

译文
Sanjaya said: "Madhusudana spoke these words to Arjuna, who was overcome with compassion, his eyes full of tears and bewilderment, sunk in grief."

Arjuna's state is described without condemnation: his tears and compassion are real. Yet it is precisely to this compassion that Krishna will now apply knowledge, so as to separate spiritual clarity from paralyzing weakness.
