अक्षरं ब्रह्म परमं स्वभावो ऽध्यात्मम् उच्यते ॥
भूतभावोद्भवकरो विसर्गः कर्मसंज्ञितः ॥
अधिभूतं क्षरो भावः पुरुषश् चाधिदैवतम् ॥
अधियज्ञो ऽहम् एवात्र देहे देहभृतां वर ॥

译文
Shri Bhagavan said: 'The imperishable supreme is Brahman; one's own nature is called adhyatma; the creative emanation that gives rise to the states of beings is called karma. Adhibhuta is the perishable state, adhidaiva is purusha, and adhiyajna here in the body is I Myself, O best among the embodied.'

Krishna at once gathers the different levels of experience around Himself. Brahman points to the imperishable, adhyatma to the inner nature, karma to the flow of manifestation — but sacrifice within the body has a personal center: the Lord Himself as the inner witness and recipient.
