नकुलः सहदेवश् च सुघोषमणिपुष्पकौ ॥
काशिराजश् च शैब्यश् च शिखण्डी च महारथः ॥
धृष्टद्युम्नो विराटश् च सात्यकिश् च महायशाः ॥
पाञ्चाल्यश् च महेष्वासो द्रौपद्याः पञ्च चात्मजाः ॥
सर्वे दध्मुर् महाशङ्खान् सिंहनादांश् च नेदिरे ॥
स घोषः सुमहांस् तत्र वीरैस् तैः समुदीरितः ॥
नभश् च पृथिवीं चैव तुमुलो व्यनुनादयत् ॥
एवम् एते महाराज प्रहृष्टाः कुरुपाण्डवाः ॥
पुनर् युद्धाय संजग्मुस् तापयानाः परस्परम् ॥

pradadhmatuḥ śaṅkhavarau hemaratnapariṣkṛtau ||
pāñcajanyaṃ hṛṣīkeśo devadattaṃ dhanaṃjayaḥ ||

anantavijayaṃ rājā kuntīputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||

kāśirājaś ca śaibyaś ca śikhaṇḍī ca mahārathaḥ ||
dhṛṣṭadyumno virāṭaś ca sātyakiś ca mahāyaśāḥ ||
pāñcālyaś ca maheṣvāso draupadyāḥ pañca cātmajāḥ ||
sarve dadhmur mahāśaṅkhān siṃhanādāṃś ca nedire ||
sa ghoṣaḥ sumahāṃs tatra vīrais taiḥ samudīritaḥ ||
nabhaś ca pṛthivīṃ caiva tumulo vyanunādayat ||
evam ete mahārāja prahṛṣṭāḥ kurupāṇḍavāḥ ||
punar yuddhāya saṃjagmus tāpayānāḥ parasparam ||
"Then the two who stood upon the great chariot yoked with white horses blew their two excellent conches, adorned with gold and jewels: Hrishikesha into Panchajanya, and Dhananjaya into Devadatta. Vrikodara of terrible deeds blew the great conch Paundra; King Yudhishthira, son of Kunti, blew Anantavijaya; Nakula and Sahadeva blew Sughosha and Manipushpaka. The king of Kashi, Shaibya, the great charioteer Shikhandin, Dhrishtadyumna, Virata, the most glorious Satyaki, the mighty Panchala archer, and the five sons of Draupadi — all of them blew great conches and raised lion-roars. That vast sound, raised up by those heroes, made the sky and the earth resound tumultuously. Thus, O great king, the rejoicing Kurus and Pandavas advanced once more to battle, scorching one another."
