पाञ्चालानां नरव्याघ्रो यः ख्यातो जनमेजयः ॥
तस्य सर्षपपुष्पाणां तुल्यवर्णा हयोत्तमाः ॥
माषवर्णास् तु जवना बृहन्तो हेममालिनः ॥
दधिपृष्ठाश् चन्द्रमुखाः पाञ्चाल्यम् अवहन् द्रुतम् ॥
शूराश् च भद्रकाश् चैव शरकाण्डनिभा हयाः ॥
पद्मकिञ्जल्कवर्णाभा दण्डधारम् उदावहन् ॥

译文

Among the Panchalas, the tiger among men renowned as Janamejaya — his excellent horses were the very color of mustard flowers. Bean-colored, swift, tall, in golden garlands, with whitish backs, moon-faced horses swiftly bore the Panchalian. Valiant and noble horses, the color of a reed stalk, the color of lotus filaments, bore Dandadhara.
