एको रथसहस्राणि निहन्तुं वासवी रणे ॥
सा हि दुर्योधनस्यासीन् मतिः कर्णस्य चोभयोः ॥
अर्जुनस्य वधोपाये तेन द्वैधम् अकल्पयत् ॥
स तु संवर्तयाम् आस द्वैधीभावेन पाण्डवः ॥
रथेन तु रथाग्र्याणाम् अकरोत् तां मृषा तदा ॥

译文

He, the son of Vasava, bearing the banner of the chief of monkeys, turning back at once, [set out] alone to destroy thousands of chariots in battle. For that indeed was the plan of both Duryodhana and Karna, of how to destroy Arjuna: therefore they devised this division [of his forces]. But the Pandava, by that very division, rendered that scheme into nothing, [with a single] chariot against the foremost charioteers then.
