न चेद् विधेर् अयं कालः प्राप्तः स्याद् अद्य पश्चिमः ॥
तव चैवास्य शत्रोश् च तन् ममाचक्ष्व पृच्छतः ॥
विस्मयो मे महान् पार्थ तव दृष्ट्वा शरान् इमान् ॥
व्यर्थान् निपततः संख्ये दुर्योधनरथं प्रति ॥
वज्राशनिसमा घोराः परकायावभेदिनः ॥
शराः कुर्वन्ति ते नार्थं पार्थ काद्य विडम्बना ॥

tava caivāsya śatroś ca tan mamācakṣva pṛcchataḥ ||
vismayo me mahān pārtha tava dṛṣṭvā śarān imān ||
vyarthān nipatataḥ saṃkhye duryodhanarathaṃ prati ||
vajrāśanisamā ghorāḥ parakāyāvabhedinaḥ ||
śarāḥ kurvanti te nārthaṃ pārtha kādya viḍambanā ||

दुर्योधनरथम् प्रतिduryodhanaratham pratiagainst Duryodhana's chariot; toward Duryodhana's chariot
वज्राशनिसमाः घोराःvajrāśanisamāḥ ghorāḥlike thunderbolt and lightning, terrible; resembling the stroke of the thunderbolt, dreadful
परकायावभेदिनःparakāyāvabhedinaḥpiercing enemy bodies; cleaving the bodies of foes

译文

"If this is not the hour of fate, then today the last hour would have come — yours and this enemy's; tell me that, since I ask. Great is my astonishment, Partha, seeing these arrows of yours falling in vain in battle at Duryodhana's chariot. Terrible, like the stroke of the thunderbolt, cleaving the bodies of foes — your arrows do not reach their mark; Partha, what mockery is this today?"
