विस्थान् स्थो हि संम्भाद् चेसः
बाल्यात् प्रभृति चारिघ्नस् तानि दुःखानि चिन्तयन्
निविद्य र्मात्मा जीविते वृकोरः

विषमस्थान् समस्थः हिviṣamasthān samasthaḥ hi[over] those fallen into misfortune — himself secure indeed; over those fallen into misfortune — himself standing secure
संरम्भात् गतचेतसःsaṃrambhāt gatacetasaḥ[from] arrogance having lost his reason; gone mad from arrogance
बाल्यात् प्रभृति च अरिघ्नःbālyāt prabhṛti ca arighnaḥand from childhood, slayer of foes; and from his youth, destroyer of enemies
तानि दुःखानि चिन्तयन्tāni duḥkhāni cintayanthose sorrows pondering; reflecting on those griefs
निरविद्यत धर्मात्माniravidyata dharmātmāgrew weary, the righteous-souled one; grew disgusted, righteous of soul
जीवितेन वृकोदरःjīvitena vṛkodaraḥof life, Vrikodara; of his own life, Vrikodara
译文

...and how, turning the Parthas — fallen into misfortune — into nothing, your son gloated, himself secure, his reason lost to arrogance — pondering these sorrows, the righteous-souled Vrikodara, slayer of foes from his very childhood, grew weary of life.
