Translation

"If there were no patient men among mankind, equal to the earth, there would be no bond among men, for strife is rooted in anger. The insulted would insult back, the struck would strike back, the injured would injure; fathers would kill sons, sons fathers, husbands wives and wives husbands. In such a world there would be no birth, because the birth of creatures rests upon bonding. But as long as there are patient ones, equal to the earth, being continues. Forbearance is called the birth and existence of creatures. One who forbears even an insult and a blow from someone stronger, who has conquered anger, is the highest man; the wrathful one perishes here and after death."
