तच् छ्रुत्वा धर्मसहितं व्याहृतं कृष्णया तदा ॥
उवाच सत्या सत्कृत्य पाञ्चालीं धर्मचारिणीम् ॥
अभिपन्नास्मि पाञ्चालि याज्ञसेनि क्षमस्व मे ॥
कामकारः सखीनां हि सोपहासं प्रभाषितुम् ॥

tac chrutvā dharmasahitaṃ vyāhṛtaṃ kṛṣṇayā tadā ||
uvāca satyā satkṛtya pāñcālīṃ dharmacāriṇīm ||
abhipannāsmi pāñcāli yājñaseni kṣamasva me ||
kāmakāraḥ sakhīnāṃ hi sopahāsaṃ prabhāṣitum ||

Translation
Having heard these dharma-filled words of Krishna-Draupadi, Satya said with respect to Panchali, follower of dharma: 'Panchali, Yajnaseni, I am at fault; forgive me. For between friends, speech is sometimes free and playful.'
