को ऽयं नितः शेते नै र्मो तो हि नः
स्मिंस् तु निते वीरे बह्व् शो मेदिनी
द्यौर् था पूर्णन्द्रे क्षत्रमालिनी

eko 'yaṃ nihataḥ śete naiṣa dharmo mato hi naḥ ||
tasmiṃs tu nihate re bahv aśobhata medi ||
dyaur yathā rṇacandreṇa nakṣatragaṇali ||

Translation

"By six great chariot-warriors of Dhritarashtra, led by Drona and Karna, this one alone is struck down and lies here — this is not dharma, in our judgment." And when that hero was slain, the earth shone brightly, like the sky with the full moon garlanded in a host of stars.
