ततो द्रोणः शिनेः पौत्रं चित्रैः सर्वायसैः शरैः ॥
त्रिभिर् आशीविषाकारैर् ललाटे समविध्यत ॥
तैर् ललाटार्पितैर् बाणैर् युयुधानस् त्व् अजिह्मगैः ॥
व्यरोचत महाराज त्रिशृङ्ग इव पर्वतः ॥

tato droṇaḥ śineḥ pautraṃ citraiḥ sarvāyasaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
tribhir āśīviṣākārair lalāṭe samavidhyata ||
tair lalāṭārpitair bāṇair yuyudhānas tv ajihmagaiḥ ||
vyarocata mahārāja triśṛṅga iva parvataḥ ||

Translation

Then Drona pierced the grandson of Shini in the forehead with three variegated, wholly-iron arrows shaped like vipers. With those straight-flying arrows lodged in his forehead, Yuyudhana shone, O great king, like a three-peaked mountain.
