गिरिरूपधराश् चापि पतिताः कुञ्जरोत्तमाः ॥
ञ्जस्य कुले जाता वास्य भा
सुप्रतीकुले जाता हाद्मकुले था
राकुले चै थान्येषु कुलेषु
जाता न्तिरा राजञ् शेते वो ताः
नायुजान् पार्वतीयान् काम्बोजाट्टबाह्लिकान्
था रान् राजन् निघ्ने त्र सात्यकिः
नानादेमुत्थांश् नानाजात्यांश् त्तिनः
निघ्ने त्र शैनेयः शो ऽ स्रशः

girirūpadharāś cāpi patitāḥ kuñjarottamāḥ ||
añjanasya kule manasya ca bhārata ||
suprakakule mapadmakule tathā ||
aivaṇakule caiva tathānyeṣu kuleṣu ca ||
dantiva jañ śerate bahavo hatāḥ ||
vayun pārvan kāmboraṭṭahlikān ||
tathā hayavan rājan nijaghne tatra tyakiḥ ||
deśasamutthāṃś ca tyāṃś ca pattinaḥ ||
nijaghne tatra śaineyaḥ śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ||

Translation

"And the finest elephants, bearing the form of mountains, born in the line of Anjana and of Vamana, O Bharata, and in the line of Airavana, and likewise in other lines — the finest tuskers, O king — lie there, many, slain. Satyaki slew there the finest horses of Vanayu, of the mountain-folk, and of Kamboja-Aratta-Bahlika. And Shaineya slew there, by hundreds and even thousands, those risen from various lands and footmen of various races."
