Saindhava, thus pierced by the arrows of the Gandiva-bowman, could not bear it, enraged, like an elephant tormented by the goad. He, with the boar on his banner, swiftly [taking up arrows] feathered with vulture plumes, flying straight, resembling vipers, polished by the smith — piercing the Gandiva with three narachas, Arjuna with six, pierced the horses with eight, and the banner with one feathered shaft.
