Bhakti-rasāmṛta-śeṣa

"The Remainder of the Nectar of Devotional Taste" — a treatise on poetics ascribed to Jīva Gosvāmī. It completes the Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu and the Ujjvala-nīlamaṇi: they treat rasa itself, this book the body of poetry in which rasa lives. It follows Viśvanātha's Sāhitya-darpaṇa but turns it towards Kṛṣṇa: what poetry is, the powers of the word, suggestion, the figures of speech, faults, styles and qualities. Most of its examples are verses on Kṛṣṇa and Rādhā.
