नाशक्नुवञ् शमयितुं तदाभूवन् पराङ्मुखाः ॥
शतक्रतुश् च संप्रेक्ष्य विमुखान् देवतागणान् ॥
बभूवावस्थितः प्रीतः प्रशंसन् कृष्णपाण्डवौ ॥

Here even Indra marvels at and praises the invincible pair. It is telling that the king of the gods, having failed to overcome them, does not grow angry but stands "pleased, praising": true greatness of power stirs admiration even in an adversary. Thus it is revealed that even Indra bows before the Lord's manifest superiority. So does scripture show the recognition granted by the heavens; and Indra's praise foreshadows the revelation of the voice.
