तथा देवर्षयः सर्वे पार्थ शक्रम् उपासते ॥
अमला धूतपाप्मानो दीप्यमाना इवाग्नयः ॥
तेजस्विनः सोमयुजो विपापा विगतक्लमाः ॥

Here the seers are described as 'having shaken off sin' and 'blazing like fires.' It is significant that their radiance comes not from ornament but from purity: austerity and sinlessness themselves clothe a person in light. Thus the scripture shows inner purity as the source of true splendor; and next comes the named host of sages.
