राजा बल-समन्वितःrājā bala-samanvitaḥa king endowed with strength,
पौण्ड्रकः वासुदेव इतिpauṇḍrakaḥ vāsudeva itiPaundraka, as 'Vasudeva'
यः असौ लोकेषु विश्रुतःyaḥ asau lokeṣu viśrutaḥfalsely renowned in the worlds;
चतुर्-युः सः महा-राजcatur-yuḥ saḥ mahā-rāja[the mighty] one, O great king,
भोजः इन्द्र-सखः बलीbhojaḥ indra-sakhaḥ balīBhoja, friend of Indra, powerful,
विद्या-बलात् यः व्यजयत्vidyā-balāt yaḥ vyajayatwho by the power of [magical] knowledge conquered

Here is the second impostor — Paundraka, falsely calling himself 'Vasudeva'. It is telling that around untruth counterfeits of the sacred multiply: where dharma is trampled, even the unworthy dare to seize the name of the Lord. Scripture thus shows that an age of untruth breeds false 'gods'; and next comes ingratitude toward the Pandavas.
