Yudhishthira said: ‘Krishna, who is this Jarasandha, of what valor, of what might, who, having touched you who are like fire, was not burned, like a moth?’

Here Yudhishthira marvels: how did this enemy withstand Krishna, ‘like fire’? It is telling that even in the question there sounds a confession of Krishna as an all-consuming flame: to withstand the Lord should be impossible, and so Jarasandha's might seems a wonder. Thus the scripture shows Krishna's greatness even in the king's bewilderment; and Krishna tells the tale.
