Traducción

Not even all the scriptures can carry such a man beyond reproach. He grows angry at his servants and envies his friends; wrath then seizes him, and he falls into ever deeper confusion. Given over to delusion, he resorts to cruel deeds, and in trying to escape one sinful act, he only nurtures further confusion — confusion that leads straight to hell, the very extremity of wickedness. If he does not awaken, O Krishna, he goes only to hell. His awakening is wisdom itself; one whose eye is wisdom does not perish. For when a man gains wisdom, he examines the scriptures anew, and being ever grounded in the scriptures, returns to dharma; and his supreme limb is modesty.
