ततस् तौ रुद्रमाहात्म्याद् धित्वा रूपं महोरगौ ॥
धनुर् बाणश् च शत्रुघ्नं तद् द्वंद्वं समपद्यत ॥
ततो जगृहतुः प्रीतौ धनुर् बाणं च सुप्रभम् ॥
आजह्रतुर् महात्मानौ ददतुश् च महात्मने ॥

tatas tau rudramāhātmyād dhitvā rūpaṃ mahoragau ||
dhanur bāṇaś ca śatrughnaṃ tad dvaṃdvaṃ samapadyata ||
tato jagṛhatuḥ prītau dhanur bāṇaṃ ca suprabham ||
ājahratur mahātmānau dadatuś ca mahātmane ||

Traducción

Then those two great serpents, by the majesty of Rudra giving up [their] form, turned into that pair -- into a bow and a foe-slaying arrow. And then the joyful [heroes] took the brightly-shining bow and arrow, brought them, great-souled as they were, and gave [them] to the great-souled one.
