Traducción

Shattered, scattered, burned by thunderbolt, wind, and fire — elephants alike in form fell, [like fragments] of mountain peaks, clouds, dwellings. Thousands of horses fell, struck down by Arjuna's arrows, [like] swans on the ridge of Himavat, as if struck down by hail. Streams of chariots, horses, elephants, and foot-soldiers, like wondrous streams of water, were slain by the Pandava's weapon-arrows, like the rays of the sun at the end of the age.
