कृतां चेन् मन्यसे रक्षां स्वस्ति ते ऽस्तु विशां पते ॥
अनुयास्यामि बीभत्सुं करिष्ये वचनं तव ॥
न हि मे पाण्डवात् कश् चित् त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते ॥
यो वै प्रियतरो राजन् सत्यम् एतद् ब्रवीमि ते ॥
तस्याहं पदवीं यास्ये संदेशात् तव मानद ॥
त्वत्कृते न च मे किं चिद् अकर्तव्यं कथं चन ॥
kṛtāṃ cen manyase rakṣāṃ svasti te 'stu viśāṃ pate ||
anuyāsyāmi bībhatsuṃ kariṣye vacanaṃ tava ||
na hi me pāṇḍavāt kaś cit triṣu lokeṣu vidyate ||
yo vai priyataro rājan satyam etad bravīmi te ||
tasyāhaṃ padavīṃ yāsye saṃdeśāt tava mānada ||
tvatkṛte na ca me kiṃ cid akartavyaṃ kathaṃ cana ||
"If you consider your protection secure, good fortune be yours, O lord of peoples — I shall follow Bibhatsu, I shall carry out your word. For in the three worlds there is none dearer to me than the Pandava, O king — this truth I speak to you. I shall go his way, by your command, O bestower of honor; for your sake there is nothing I would not do."

Satyaki confesses: "na me pāṇḍavāt kaścit priyataraḥ" — there is none dearer to him than Arjuna in all three worlds. On such love rests his readiness — "tvatkṛte na me kiṃcid akartavyam" — to hold nothing as impossible for a friend's sake. It is significant that the measure of love sets the limit of self-giving. The verse teaches that true devotion knows no impossibility: where love is boundless, there is no task from which one would shrink; for a loving heart, everything is achievable for the sake of the beloved.
