जानीषे मम वीर्यं त्वं तव चाहम् अरिंदम ॥
तस्माद् भीम निवर्तस्व मम चेद् इच्छसि प्रियम् ॥
तथोक्तः सात्यकिं प्राह व्रज त्वं कार्यसिद्धये ॥
अहं राज्ञः करिष्यामि रक्षां पुरुषसत्तम ॥
एवम् उक्तः प्रत्युवाच भीमसेनं स माधवः ॥
गच्छ गच्छ द्रुतं पार्थ ध्रुवो ऽद्य विजयो मम ॥
jānīṣe mama vīryaṃ tvaṃ tava cāham ariṃdama ||
tasmād bhīma nivartasva mama ced icchasi priyam ||
tathoktaḥ sātyakiṃ prāha vraja tvaṃ kāryasiddhaye ||
ahaṃ rājñaḥ kariṣyāmi rakṣāṃ puruṣasattama ||
evam uktaḥ pratyuvāca bhīmasenaṃ sa mādhavaḥ ||
gaccha gaccha drutaṃ pārtha dhruvo 'dya vijayo mama ||
"You know my valor, and I know yours, O subduer of foes; therefore, Bhima, turn back, if you wish to please me." Thus addressed, [Bhima] said to Satyaki: "Go, for the success of the task; I will take charge of protecting the king, O best of men." Thus addressed, that Madhava [Satyaki] answered Bhimasena: "Go, go quickly, Partha! My victory today is certain."

The two heroes part in perfect trust: "jānīṣe mama vīryaṃ tvaṃ, tava cāham" -- each knows the other's valor, and so each is at peace with his own share. It is telling that this division of labor rests on mutual respect. The verse teaches that harmony in a shared task is founded on trust in one another's strength: where each knows and honors his comrade's valor, the work divides without dispute, and both go to their respective feats with a tranquil heart.
