तम् अब्रवीद् वासुदेवः किम् इदं पाण्डुनन्दन ॥
वार्यमाणो ऽपि कौन्तेय यद् युद्धान् न निवर्तसे ॥
यदि युद्धेन जेयाः स्युर् इमे कौरवनन्दनाः ॥
वयम् अप्य् अत्र युध्येम तथा चेमे नरर्षभाः ॥
रथेभ्यस् त्व् अवतीर्णास् तु सर्व एव स्म तावकाः ॥
तस्मात् त्वम् अपि कौन्तेय रथात् तूर्णम् अपाक्रम ॥

tam abravīd vāsudevaḥ kim idaṃ pāṇḍunandana ||
vāryamāṇo 'pi kaunteya yad yuddhān na nivartase ||
yadi yuddhena jeyāḥ syur ime kauravanandanāḥ ||
vayam apy atra yudhyema tathā ceme nararṣabhāḥ ||
rathebhyas tv avatīrṇās tu sarva eva sma tāvakāḥ ||
tasmāt tvam api kaunteya rathāt tūrṇam apākrama ||

वयम् अपि अत्र युध्येमvayam api atra yudhyemawe too would fight here; we too would battle here
तथा च इमे नरर्षभाःtathā ca ime nararṣabhāḥand so too these bulls among men; and so too these bulls among men
रथेभ्यः तु अवतीर्णाःrathebhyaḥ tu avatīrṇāḥ[but] they have gotten down from their chariots; [but] they have gotten down from their chariots
तु सर्वे एव स्म तावकाःtu sarve eva sma tāvakāḥall our men; all our [allies]
तस्मात् त्वम् अपि कौन्तेयtasmāt tvam api kaunteyatherefore you too, son of Kunti; therefore you too, son of Kunti
रथात् तूर्णम् अपाक्रमrathāt tūrṇam apākramaget down from your chariot quickly; get down from your chariot at once
Traducción

Vasudeva said to him: 'What is this, scion of Pandu? Though restrained, son of Kunti, why do you not retreat from the battle? If these scions of Kuru could be overcome by battle, we too would fight here, and so too these bulls among men. But all our [allies] have gotten down from their chariots; therefore you too, son of Kunti, get down from your chariot quickly.'
