अनुवाद

Having heard that word of his mother, Vyasa, the supremely wise, possessed of transcendent knowledge, urged on by duty, said: 'He will be equal in strength to ten thousand elephants, learned, the best of royal sages, blessed, of great valor, of great intellect. And he will have a hundred sons, all mighty; but through his mother's fault he will be blind.' Hearing his word, the mother said to her son: 'A blind man is not fit to be king of the Kurus, O rich in austerity. You must give a second king to the Kuru lineage — a guardian of the kinsmen's line, an increaser of the ancestors' line.' He, promising 'so be it,' departed, the great ascetic; and that Kausalya in due time bore that blind son.
