अनुवाद

And again that queen Satya, having instructed her daughter-in-law, summoned the sage as before, she the blameless one. Then by that same rite the great sage united with her; and when he approached Ambalika, she, seeing the sage, distressed, turned pale, O Bharata. Seeing her frightened, pale, distressed, O king, Vyasa, the son of Satyavati, spoke this word: 'Because you turned pale on seeing my ugly form — for that, this son of yours will be pale (Pandu). And his name will be exactly that, O fair-faced one.' Having said this, the lord, the best of sages, departed. Then, seeing him come out, Satya turned to her son; and he again told his mother of that infant's pallor. The mother again asked him for yet another son; and 'so be it' — the great sage answered that mother. Then that queen in due time bore a son — Pandu, endowed with auspicious marks, as if shining with beauty; as his sons were born the five great archer-Pandavas.
