वैशंपायन उवाच
ततो राज्ञां चरैर् आप्तैश् चारः समुपनीयत ॥
पाण्डवैर् उपसंपन्ना द्रौपदी पतिभिः शुभा ॥
येन तद् धनुर् आयम्य लक्ष्यं विद्धं महात्मना ॥
सो ऽर्जुनो जयतां श्रेष्ठो महाबाणधनुर्धरः ॥

अनुवाद

Vaishampayana said: "Then the news was brought by the kings' trusted spies that the auspicious Draupadi had become the wife of the Pandavas; he who, having strung the bow, pierced the target, the great-souled one — is Arjuna, best of conquerors, bearer of the great bow and arrows."
