Here even the celestial singers serve in the hall of the righteous king. It is significant that the art of the gandharvas is directed toward the joy of the sages and kings, not toward idle pleasure: beauty placed in the service of dharma uplifts rather than dissipates. Thus the scripture shows the full completeness of the assembly -- from seers to celestial singers -- and closes with the image of the king at its center.
