अनुवाद

Fire is a thing of immense energy in this world. It lies hidden in wood and never consumes it until kindled by others. That same fire, once it blazes up from wood through friction, swiftly consumes with its energy not only the wood in which it lay hidden, but the whole forest and much besides. Men of high birth are, by their energy, like fire. Endowed with forbearance, they give no outward sign of anger and remain silent, like fire lying dormant in the forest. You, O king, together with your sons, possess the nature of creepers, while the sons of Pandu are reckoned as sala trees. A creeper never grows unless there is a great tree nearby around which to twine itself. O king, O son of Ambika, your son is like the forest. O lord, know that the Pandavas are the lions of that forest. Without lions the forest is doomed to destruction, and the lions too are doomed to destruction without the forest to shelter them."
