ततस् तौ रथिनां श्रेष्ठौ लब्धलक्षौ धनंजयम् ॥
वासुदेवं च वार्ष्णेयं शरवर्षैः समन्ततः ॥
सचक्रकूबररथं साश्वध्वजपताकिनम् ॥
अदृश्यं चक्रतुर् युद्धे तद् अद्भुतम् इवाभवत् ॥

अनुवाद
Then those two, foremost of charioteers, having found their mark, with rains of arrows from all sides made invisible in the battle Dhananjaya and Vasudeva of the Vrishnis -- the chariot with its wheels and pole, with its horses, standard, and pennant. That was as it were a wonder.

For a moment even Arjuna and Krishna "adṛśyaṃ cakratuḥ," are hidden by a shower of arrows: darkness veils the light, but does not extinguish it. Telling is it that even the Lord with His devotee are for a time concealed -- trial does not pass them by either. The verse teaches that a temporary eclipse is not defeat: as a cloud hides the sun without quenching it, so misfortune for a time veils even those overshadowed by God; and whoever remembers that behind the cloud is the sun will not despair in the dark, knowing the light will soon break through again.
