तो दुर्योनो ऽष्टौ राजानस् ते हाथाः
द्रस्य क्षार्थं पाण्डवं र्यवायन्
तो द्रौणिस् त्रिप्तत्या वासुदेवम् तायत्
र्जुनं त्रिभिर् ल्लैर् ध्वजम् श्वांश् ञ्चभिः

ततः द्रौणिः त्रिसप्तत्याtataḥ drauṇiḥ trisaptatyāthen the son of Drona with seventy-three; thereupon Drauni with seventy-three [arrows]
वासुदेवम् अताडयत्vāsudevam atāḍayatstruck Vasudeva; struck Vasudeva

अनुवाद

Then Duryodhana and those eight kings, great warriors, surrounded the son of Pandu for the protection of Jayadratha. Then the son of Drona struck Vasudeva with seventy-three [arrows], and Arjuna with three bhallas, and the banner and horses with five.
