अलम्बुसो भृशं क्रुद्धो घटोत्कचम् अताडयत् ॥
घटोत्कचस् तु विंशत्या नाराचानां स्तनान्तरे ॥
अलम्बुसम् अथो विद्ध्वा सिंहवद् व्यनदन् मुहुः ॥
तथैवालम्बुसो राजन् हैडिम्बं युद्धदुर्मदम् ॥
विद्ध्वा विद्ध्वानदद् धृष्टः पूरयन् खं समन्ततः ॥

alambuso bhṛśaṃ kruddho ghaṭotkacam atāḍayat ||
ghaṭotkacas tu viṃśatyā nārācānāṃ stanāntare ||
alambusam atho viddhvā siṃhavad vyanadan muhuḥ ||
tathaivālambuso rājan haiḍimbaṃ yuddhadurmadam ||
viddhvā viddhvānadad dhṛṣṭaḥ pūrayan khaṃ samantataḥ ||

पूरयन् खम् समन्ततःpūrayan kham samantataḥfilling the sky on every side; making the heavens resound on every side
अनुवाद

Alambusa, greatly enraged, struck Ghatotkacha, and Ghatotkacha struck him back with twenty iron arrows to the chest. So too Alambusa, O king, piercing again and again Hidimba's furious son, roared with joy, filling the sky on every side.
