अथ त्वम् अस्य मूर्धानं पातयिष्यसि भूतले ॥
तवापि शतधा मूर्धा फलिष्यति न संशयः ॥
यथा चैतन् न जानीयात् स राजा पृथिवीपतिः ॥
तथा कुरु कुरुश्रेष्ठ दिव्यम् अस्त्रम् उपाश्रितः ॥
न ह्य् असाध्यम् अकार्यं वा विद्यते तव किं चन ॥
समस्तेष्व् अपि लोकेषु त्रिषु वासवनन्दन ॥
atha tvam asya mūrdhānaṃ pātayiṣyasi bhūtale ||
tavāpi śatadhā mūrdhā phaliṣyati na saṃśayaḥ ||
yathā caitan na jānīyāt sa rājā pṛthivīpatiḥ ||
tathā kuru kuruśreṣṭha divyam astram upāśritaḥ ||
na hy asādhyam akāryaṃ vā vidyate tava kiṃ cana ||
samasteṣv api lokeṣu triṣu vāsavanandana ||
'But if you cast his head down to the ground, your own head too will split into a hundred pieces, there is no doubt. And so that king, lord of the earth, may not learn of this — do thus, O best of the Kurus, resorting to a divine weapon. For there is nothing unattainable or undoable for you in all the three worlds, O delight of Vasava [Indra].'

Krishna expresses trust in Arjuna: 'nothing is beyond your power in the three worlds.' It is telling that this trust does not remove the need for precision — even to the all-capable one, the right method is shown. The verse teaches that trust in one who is able goes hand in hand with clear instruction; and the Lord's trust in His devotee does not free him from wise execution, but gives him wings for a deed that would otherwise seem impossible.
