ततः सर्वाणि भूतानि विस्मयं जग्मुर् उत्तमम् ॥
वासुदेवश् च बीभत्सुं प्रशशंस महारथम् ॥
ततो दृष्ट्वा विनिहतं सिन्धुराजं जयद्रथम् ॥
पुत्राणां तव नेत्रेभ्यो दुःखाद् बह्व् अपतज् जलम् ॥
भीमसेनो ऽपि संग्रामे बोधयन्न् इव पाण्डवम् ॥
सिंहनादेन महता पूरयाम् आस रोदसी ॥

tataḥ sarvāṇi bhūtāni vismayaṃ jagmur uttamam ||
vāsudevaś ca bībhatsuṃ praśaśaṃsa mahāratham ||
tato dṛṣṭvā vinihataṃ sindhurājaṃ jayadratham ||
putrāṇāṃ tava netrebhyo duḥkhād bahv apataj jalam ||
bhīmaseno 'pi saṃgrāme bodhayann iva pāṇḍavam ||
siṃhanādena mahatā pūrayām āsa rodasī ||

प्रशशंस महारथम्praśaśaṃsa mahārathampraised, the great warrior; praised, the maharatha
ततः दृष्ट्वा विनिहतम्tataḥ dṛṣṭvā vinihatamthen having seen slain; then, having seen [him] slain
सिन्धुराजम् जयद्रथम्sindhurājam jayadrathamthe Sindhu king Jayadratha; the Sindhu king Jayadratha
पुत्राणाम् तव नेत्रेभ्यःputrāṇām tava netrebhyaḥ[from] the eyes of your sons; from the eyes of your sons

अनुवाद

Then all beings were struck with utter astonishment, and Vasudeva praised Bibhatsu, the great warrior. Then, seeing the Sindhu king Jayadratha slain, tears streamed abundantly from the eyes of your sons in grief. And Bhimasena, in the battle, as though to rouse the Pandava Yudhishthira, filled heaven and earth with a great lion's roar.
