अक्षमालापरिक्षिप्तं ज्योतिषां परमं निधिम् ॥
ततो नारायणो दृष्ट्वा ववन्दे विश्वसंभवम् ॥
वरदं पृथुचार्वङ्ग्या पार्वत्या सहितं प्रभुम् ॥
अजम् ईशानम् अव्यग्रं कारणात्मानम् अच्युतम् ॥
अभिवाद्याथ रुद्राय सद्यो ऽन्धकनिपातिने ॥
पद्माक्षस् तं विरूपाक्षम् अभितुष्टाव भक्तिमान् ॥
akṣamālāparikṣiptaṃ jyotiṣāṃ paramaṃ nidhim ||
tato nārāyaṇo dṛṣṭvā vavande viśvasaṃbhavam ||
varadaṃ pṛthucārvaṅgyā pārvatyā sahitaṃ prabhum ||
ajam īśānam avyagraṃ kāraṇātmānam acyutam ||
abhivādyātha rudrāya sadyo 'ndhakanipātine ||
padmākṣas taṃ virūpākṣam abhituṣṭāva bhaktimān ||
"Encircled with a rosary, the supreme treasury of luminaries — then Narayana, seeing him, bowed to the source of the universe: the giver of boons, together with the broad-hipped, lovely Parvati, the lord, the unborn Ishana, the untroubled, the one whose self is the cause, the unshaken. Having bowed then to Rudra, who at once cast down Andhaka, the lotus-eyed one, devoted, praised that Virupaksha [the three-eyed]."

Narayana himself bows with devotion to Rudra — "whose self is the cause, the unshaken." This mutual reverence of the highest is telling: greatness reveals itself not in exalting oneself above another but in humble honoring. The verse teaches that true greatness is not diminished by a bow — rather, it is most fully itself in humility; and the mutual devotion of the Lord and Rudra shown here is an image of the love that binds the highest, surpassing all rivalry.
