译文

Vaishampayana said: "Thus addressed by the pleased townsfolk and countryfolk, the son of Nahusha then anointed his son Puru to his own kingdom. Having given the kingdom to Puru and dedicated himself to forest life, that king went forth from the city together with brahmins and ascetics. From Yadu were born the Yadavas, the sons of Turvasu the Yavanas, the sons of Druhyu the Bhojas, and the descendants of Anu the tribes of the Mlecchas. O king, from Puru came the line of the Pauravas, in which you yourself were born; the self-controlled Puru was able to rule the kingdom for a thousand years."
