कृतकर्मा परिश्रान्तः साधु तावद् उपारम ॥

Here Arjuna's brotherly care shows itself once more. It is telling that he offers not only help but to take the very labor upon himself, so that the weary Bhima might rest: love does not reckon whose the credit is, but attends to the brother. Here is the selflessness of true kinship: each is glad to serve the other and to take up his burden. The verse shows that in a family of the righteous there is no rivalry for glory — only readiness to lighten a kinsman's load; and this very care is dearer than victory itself.
