समानयाम् आस सुतां च कृष्णाम्; आप्लाव्य रत्नैर् बहुभिर् विभूष्य ॥
ततः सर्वे सुहृदस् तत्र तस्य; समाजग्मुः सचिवा मन्त्रिणश् च ॥
द्रष्टुं विवाहं परमप्रतीता; द्विजाश् च पौराश् च यथाप्रधानाः ॥

译文

"Then King Yajnasena, with his son, prepared much that was excellent for the wedding guests, and brought forth his daughter Krishna, bathed and adorned with many jewels. Then all his friends, counselors, and ministers gathered to see the wedding, greatly delighted, and the brahmins, and the townsfolk according to their rank."

注释

Here the wedding proceeds in triumph amid a gathering of well-wishers. It is telling that yesterday's anxiety has turned into common rejoicing: what threatened as misfortune resolved into joy. A doubt resolved by Providence turns into a festival. Thus the verse shows the solemnity of the wedding day; and the whole court gathers to share the joy.
