Here those who had suffered obtain their own Shri -- both fortune and the goddess of fortune. Telling is the phrase "having obtained Shri": with Draupadi, well-being itself returns to them, for she is the embodiment of good fortune. Fidelity to dharma in adversity is crowned by the return of happiness: after the night of exile dawns the light of ascent. Thus the verse shows the turning point in the fate of the Pandavas; and, equal to gods, they find rest in Panchala, preparing to reclaim their rights.
