Here the hospitable hosts are at once ready to serve their guest. It is significant that Krishna and Arjuna do not refuse but ask how to please him: the noble strive to satisfy the need of the one who asks. In this is the dharma of hospitality, a readiness to serve whoever has come. The scripture shows the responsiveness of the heroes here; and their readiness will draw out Agni's wondrous request.
