न्यवारयेतां संक्रुद्धौ बाणैर् वज्रोपमैस् तदा ॥
असकृद् भग्नसंकल्पाः सुराश् च बहुशः कृताः ॥
भयाद् रणं परित्यज्य शक्रम् एवाभिशिश्रियुः ॥

Here the gods, put to shame, flee for the protection of their king. Telling is it that the celestials, repelled, "abandon the battle out of fear": the whole pantheon could not stand before the Lord and His devotee. Thus it is revealed that there is no power that overcomes the Lord. Thus the text shows the defeat of the gods; and the greatness of the two is beyond doubt.
