अहं वै श्येनम् आयान्तम् अद्राक्षं बिलम् अन्तिकात् ॥
संचरन्तं समादाय जहाराखुं बिलाद् बली ॥
तं पतन्तम् अहं श्येनं त्वरिता पृष्ठतो ऽन्वगाम् ॥
आशिषो ऽस्य प्रयुञ्जाना हरतो मूषकं बिलात् ॥

译文
Jarita said: "I indeed saw a hawk approaching near the hole, and the mighty one, seizing the scurrying creature, carried the mouse off from the hole; I hastily followed behind that flying hawk, uttering blessings upon him as he carried the mouse away from the hole."

Here a mother blesses even a predator — for destroying her children's enemy. It is telling that Jarita utters blessings upon the hawk that carried off the mouse: love for one's children turns even the predator that removed their enemy into a friend. Here we see how entirely a mother's every thought is subject to her children's good. So the scripture shows the ardor of a mother's love; and she insists on saving her children.
