जगाम त्वरिता देशं क्षेमम् अग्नेर् अनाश्रयम् ॥

Here a mother yields to her children's reasoning and departs. It is telling that Jarita submits to their argument and leaves for the sake of the line: even one who loves bows before the truth once it is made plain. Here we see that a wise word humbles even a mother's blind love. So the scripture shows Jarita's departure; and the children remain before the fire, trusting in Agni.
