यो नो द्वेष्टारम् आदाय श्येनराज प्रधावसि ॥
भव त्वं दिवम् आस्थाय निरमित्रो हिरण्मयः ॥
यदा स भक्षितस् तेन क्षुधितेन पतत्रिणा ॥
तदाहं तम् अनुज्ञाप्य प्रत्युपायां गृहान् प्रति ॥

译文
"You who, taking our enemy, rush away, O king of hawks — remain, dwelling in the sky, without enemies, golden!" When the mouse had been eaten by that hungry bird, then I, having taken leave of him, returned home.

Here a mother thanks her deliverer with a blessing. It is telling that Jarita wishes the hawk well — 'without enemies, golden': gratitude repays good even for a small kindness. In this lies good conduct, which does not remain in debt for a service rendered. So the scripture shows Jarita's gratitude; and, having assured herself, she calls her children into the hole.
